Welcome to the Falcon Inn, a typically English Inn House nestled in an affluent and quiet area in the North Yorkshire Moors.

Traditional Home Comforts in Fabulous Countryside

Originally a coaching inn, the building stands in its own 15 acres of pasture and woodland with its southerly aspect towards the sea. The Falcon Inn offers en-suite accommodation which is set in its own private courtyard, with all rooms having colour televisions plus tea and coffee making facilities.

The lounge bar provides traditional bar meals and a range of daily specials displayed on our menu boards. All meals are prepared using fresh local produce and, with a little prior notice we are happy to cater for special requests.

We have a well stocked bar serving a good selection of beers, wines and spirits. In the winter your comfort is enhanced with a traditional log fire.

Close to the Falcon Inn are many places of interest. Besides the nearby resorts of Scarborough and Whitby, there are the delightful coastal villages of Robin Hood's Bay, Runswick Bay and Staithes. The tourist city of York is within driving distance, as is the market town of Pickering, the departure point for the North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway.

Golf is well provided for in the area with the Championship course of Ganton, four pleasant seaside courses in Scarborough, Filey and Whitby. Sea-fishing, pony trekking and for walkers the Cleveland Way passes nearby. County cricket may also be seen at Scarborough and for the racing enthusiast there are regular meetings at York, Thirsk and Redcar.

North Yorkshire, Scarborough and Whitby having many attractions on our doorstep so you can spend your day sight-seeing at Scarborough Castle, shopping at the Brunswick centre, then relaxing over dinner and meeting some of our friendly locals.
